K3 is a Belgian group that formed in 1998, originally having Karen, Kristel and Kathleen as singers. Nowadays it consists of the members Karen, Josje and Kristel . Josje became the new third girl after Kathleen left the group in 2009. To replace her, Belgium and the Netherlands organised a big tv-contest 'K2 searches K3', that was won by Josje. Originally they formed as a group for a Eurosong Festival contest, which they did not win. Soon after they gained popularity as group playing childrens music. Now they only target a children audience, with great succes. Because they are Flemish, all songs are in Dutch. They have released eight CDs in total.
